Arndt Ellinghorst, the head of Global Automotive Research at Evercore, said the fix would take significantly longer and the complications would cost $6,000 per car.<br \/>\nNearly two years after Volkswagen\u2019s Dieselgate scandal first broke, the company was hit with an anticipatory bill to the nasty tune of $3 billion to fix the nearly half a million 2.0-liter diesel cars here in the U.S.<br \/>\nVolkswagen AG is struggling to put the \u201cDieselgate\u201d scandal behind it, wading through the mess of what to do with all the defective cars.
