The recall is because of a single report to the company in Europe in early November. It was reported of a seatbelt assembly breaking after a customer sitting in the front <a href=\"http:\/\/interplextransportation.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">passenger<\/a> seat of a Model S turned to talk to people in the rear seat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to a Tesla spokesperson,<!--more--> there have been no accidents or injuries related to the problem. The recall is worldwide: most of the affected vehicles are in the U.S. and there are some in Europe and Asia. Tesla Motors emailed owners of Model S asking them to bring their cars into one of about 125 Tesla service centers worldwide for an inspection of the bolt that attaches the seat belt mechanism to the body of the car. Model S owners can book a free vehicle inspection online or by phone. If necessary, the company may send a technician to customers. The vehicle would be checked out for a few minutes. Any necessary repair should take about six minutes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Officials from the company said that Tesla is conducting the recall out of \u201can abundance of caution\u201d as their investigation was unable \u201cto reveal any root cause\u201d. The company hasn\u2019t been able to find what the problem is neither on its assembly line, nor in any completed cars that it has tested.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This isn\u2019t the first recall for Tesla. Last year, the company conducted a recall of 29,222 Model S sedans over a charging defect that could potentially lead to a fire hazard. In 2013, Tesla said it needed to fix back seat in 1,228 Model S.
