A proposal would ban human drivers from the lanes specially designated for autonomous cars. In a proposal revealed a few days ago, advocates for autonomous vehicles call for driver-free zones in congested city centers. The first car-pool lane banned for human motorists will be a 150-mile stretch of Interstate 5 which is between Vancouver and Seattle.
