Elon Musk unveiled Cybertruck and its bulletproof window was smashed by a metal ball.

Nine years after sharing his plan for a “super truck” with “crazy torque” and “dynamic air suspension” that “corners like it is on rails,” Tesla CEO revealed the long-awaited vehicle on Livestream and in front of an audience at its Design Studio in Hawthorne, California, outside Los Angeles. The Cybertruck looks nothing like any pickup truck you have ever seen.

Tesla to Unveil its ‘Cybertruck’ Electric Pickup on November 21st

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced the all-electric Cybertruck will be unveiled on November 21 at an event in Los Angeles.

The date just so happens to coincide with the Auto Show in Los Angeles. However, this is a Tesla event and not associated with the LA auto show.

Musk has been talking about producing an all-electric pickup truck for years. In December, Musk said that Tesla might unveil its prototype in 2019. Musk hoped to unveil the truck this summer, but it had to be pushed back to fall.

Tesla Batteries Investigated for Possible Defects

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating why Tesla vehicles have spontaneously burst into flames.

The federal agency has launched an investigation possible battery defects in Tesla sedans and SUVs and the possibility that battery defects may have caused a number of cars to burst into flames.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration sent a letter, dated October 24, to Al Prescott, Tesla’s deputy general counsel, telling that it is evaluating a petition to investigate defects in battery software updates in Model S and Model X vehicles made between 2012 and 2019. In the letter, the company was also asked for an accounting of software updates to the battery management system as well as other documents, including consumer complaints and any reports related to the fire incidents in response to an “alarming number of car fires that have occurred worldwide.”

Automated drones that deliver packages in your yards are no longer science fiction. 2019 has marked the beginning of a number of drone delivery tests countrywide.  Alphabet Inc.’s, Wing and Uber Technologies Inc. have started the most advanced trials of drone delivery in U.S. history and United Parcel Service has recently received federal approval to operate a fleet of drones.

Flying robots will definitely drop packages to your doorsteps soon. According to experts, large scale drone delivery operations will take a short time to realize. Sales of drones for commercial purposes are expected to grow steadily and the number is estimated to go from 600,000 in 2016 to about 2.7 million in 2020.

The New Electric Turbine that Can Generate Two to Five Times the Torque of Motors

The Hunstable Electric Turbine by Linear Labs can boost the efficiency of EVs, scooters, and wind turbines.

A Texas-based startup, Linear Labs, claims that its innovative electric prototype can generate two to five times the torque of existing motors with the same-size package. Torque is the amount of work that a motor or engine produces.

Linear Labs’ motor boasts three times more power, 20 percent greater efficiency, less complex power trains, and no gearbox is required.
